On Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Glas Kat in San Francisco, RAMA hosted “To The Top: An Evening with the Bay Area’s Taiwanese American All-Stars”, featuring Cynthia Lin, Johnny Hi-Fi, Alice Tong, Jack Tung, and The Soonest. MYX TV was there, documenting the exciting and historic gathering of these Taiwanese American music giants of the bay area.
Over 100 people were in attendance to witness this new generation of Taiwanese American artists rock the house. Cynthia Lin serenaded the audience with sweet tones, Alice Tong soulfully sang about home, The Soonest blasted forth serious Alt. Rock energy, and Johnny Hi-Fi finished off the night perfectly by tearing the roof of the venue with their signature showmanship. Jack Tung was the surprise of the evening with his unclassifiable style of ambient futura rock that sounded like it was from another dimension. Truly the spirit of Rock ‘N Roll!
